Welcome to the forum, Domi.
I can't even imagine what it's like growing up in an Islamic state, especially for a rationally inclined person. I found being an atheist in a Catholic country almost unbearable - although that's largely because I can't stomach vodka. Stay safe and good luck finding a new home. And never drink vodka with Eastern Europeans.

It was frequently north of 130F! It got much worse starting about mid-August though. The winds shift at that time and start blowing in from the Persian Gulf. The temperature drops but the humidity skyrockets. Imagine temperatures still over 100F and humidity approaching 90%. We carried a box of 1.5 liter bottles of water in the trucks whenever we went out. I remember drinking an entire bottle in one go and just staring at the empty in amazement. Twenty minutes later, I was reaching for another one!

"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Howdy from Texas, deep in the heart of atheist hell. Cannot compare to yours however, so, best wishes and good luck.
You make people miserable and there's nothing they can do about it, just like god.

Welcome to the forum Always interesting to hear the perspectives of ex-Muslims, there don't seem to be as many as there are ex-Christians
Also that might be one of the most Kudos'd posts I've yet seen, guess you need the encouragement coming from that neck of the woods though

"Ironically like the nativist far-Right, which despises multiculturalism, but benefits from its ideas of difference to scapegoat the other and to promote its own white identity politics; these postmodernists, leftists, feminists and liberals also use multiculturalism, to side with the oppressor, by demanding respect and tolerance for oppression characterised as 'difference', no matter how intolerable." - Maryam Namazie
It's really funny how surveys in Saudi Arabia reveal 100% of the population is Muslim. Are you sure you're not Muslim?
