What color do you see this dress?

RE: What color do you see this dress?
To those who see black and blue. Take a moment to consider that you are being blinded by the bright light in the background of the picture and so the dress looks shaded because of this. Then look again and see if you now see white and gold.

The thing is everyone's perception of color is slightly different and I think these colors must teeter on a fine line. It could be that the light in the background distorts the color, but I don't think it would be as drastic as black instead of gold. In my case I see white and gold, and sometimes, with the shade, light blue and brown, but that sort of makes sense. Other people are seeing blue and black. That's a pretty big leap and doesn't follow.
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:

"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."

For context, this is the previous verse:

"Hi Jesus" -robvalue

I can't understand where the black comes from. I get maybe a really light tint of blue.

B/b

When I really focus I see the black turning gold, but the blue stays blue.

It's objectively blue, with some black lace.
The golden tint in the lace is from the overhead lights which may be yellowish.

If you guys are seeing white where the blue is... then your screen is probably too bright.

Black and blue, however I look at it. The black has a slight hint of brown.
Although - the very first time I looked at it, for a second or 2, the colors in the picture seemed very washed out, to the point of being unrecognizable - like a very faded color photograph. Then I saw the palette I've seen since.

I found a nice site which explains how to set your screen properly:
https://wiki.logos.com/Adjusting_your_Monitor

Quote:The top part of the test image should show bands of black and near black. Adjust the “Brightness” control until the difference between adjacent bands is just noticeable.

The bottom part of the test image should show bands of white and near white. Adjust the “Contrast” control until the difference between adjacent bands is just noticeable.

Your monitor should now be set correctly. You may find that it looks very odd. This is normal, as it will take a few hours of use until your eyes “forget” the old setting. However, once past this initial period you will see a real benefit, both on Internet or video and with your own photos.

The rest of the test image can give indications of other monitor calibration problems (if the greys are tinted pale pink, green, blue… for example).

Maybe I'm going color blind, but I always see it as black and blue.

I can see the white has a slight blue tint to it, although I wouldn't call the colour blue, but I can't see any black in it.

At first glance it looks blue and black. I'm probably wrong. Nice dress though
