And then Buddha shouts "Jesus FUCKING Christ !!!!!!!!!!" in his excitement, and the game goes into OT
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

1) People of all denominations can go to heaven so it doesn't matter much

Or

2) At least 1 denomination is wrong.

Which is it? You're allowed to confer with God, and even quote him directly if you get a reply.

Go!

We have another christian sponsor! It looks like Calvanism, which is already right and wrong, is also right and delivers a devastating elbow drop to the Protestant, who has been lying prone for some time now.

Well, before it ceased to exist and then re appeared anyway.

Wrestling sure is exciting once more!

ROFLOL

You're an idiot.

So tell me Mean Gene, which of the 5 points of TULIP does all so the following align itself with?
Drich Wrote:I have been asked this question so many different times in my last two threads I think it should be posted once and for all.

It's real simple.

All canonical Jesus Christ centered religions are good.

Why?

Attonement.

The same attonement that is offered to us when we willfully sin is also offered when we are trying to love God with all of our heart, mind, spirit, and strength.

So this beggs the question who is right? Which version of Christianity is correct? None are. The thing is.. We don't have to be.

So what's the trick? One must have the attonement offered by Christ. According to Paul to his letter to the Galations, this 'gospel' is the canonical/biblical Gospel. All other 'new gospels' are false.

Therefore the only ones that fall under the Christian 'freedom of religion' are those who know and follow the Jesus/gospel found in the canonical scriptures.

So they're all correct? And all wrong?

We have two answers of all correct and all wrong. Any more opinions from christians? So far the denominations seem like stylistic choice rather than being of much importance.

Anyone feel their denomination is worth supporting?

Buddha and the 14 headed chick are teaming up now, and the 40,000 denominations are looking very worried. Even atheism isn't getting beaten up at the moment. Islam appears to be reaching for a foreign object...

The Episcopalian jumps into the ring and seems to be offering a friendly smile and a handshake to the lady with 20 arms... (I can't watch.)

All Jesus Christ centered religions share one thing in their 'correctness.' That we need the blood sacrifice and the attonement that follows when we sin.

Now if we have been absolved when we willfully sin, How much more is God willing to forgive, when we love him with all of our Being, and just get it wrong?

And we are indeed all wrong to one degree or another. Why? Because worshiping Christ is not an academic exercise. We have been told to Love God with all of our being. (Mind Heart, Spirit and Strength) and because we all have different measures of 'Mind Heart Spirit and strength' that worship will no doubt look different from person to person.

We are all wrong to one degree or another because their is only one truth, and none of us has it, yet because the goal of Christianity is not following one set of rules and being judged by those rules like every other religion on the planet, but to do our best and seek the attonement Christ offers to fill in the gaps, we (meaning All Jesus Christ centered religions) all have what we need for salvation. In that sense we are all 'right.'

It's the Quakers you have to watch out for. They'll use their pacifism as a weapon, shaming the other Christians with their loving kindness (and strong chins) until Jesus appears and declares them the winners on a minor technicality: "Oh, and Jesus has stopped the match! It seems he's invoking the obscure and little honored rule about turning the other cheek. The Quakers win! Boy, the Baptists and Catholics don't seem happy with that ruling, but the referee has stopped it all the same!"
