Hello all!!

Well, I am a newbie here who discovered your site just through browsing google. I was brought up by a mother who was Catholic and a father who was protestant in Manchester, England.

Ever since the age of 11 (31 years ago) I sort of gave up religion and decided to think for myself. However, over the last few years, with one thing after another, watching Hitchens, Harris and Dawkins and just recently Strauss, I have been enlightened and intrigued by what they have had to say in their debates. At the moment, I am halfway through The Origins of the species by Darwin and I am going to start "The Selfish Gene", sometime next week.

I look forward to speaking and interacting with you all and I am sure that I can learn a great deal from you all. I have so many questions to ask.
