Do great things OP ED,

Do great things OP ED,
I agree with Ann Frank when she says people are good at heart. I have said many times that empathy is in us. Yet when we sell this idea of "do great things" or "the greater good" humans always miss the aspect of point of view. When we do this, while some may see good in the outsider as well, we are still arguing for what is local and our own social norms.

It does not take a political party, economic theory, nationality, religion or loyalty oath to know that our species is the same at it's core. We want to survive. We want comfort. We want resources, and we want to bitch about other

There is no " do great things" or "altruism" because when humans push for them they still amount as a justification for their positions. I have no other axiom and not even as an absolute, but as guide. I think humans can guide without dictating, without assuming "the other" is a sub species. Bitch without killing.

The greatest good I can see is to put groups and bitching on the back burner, it will not go away. But to put our common problems first, like resources, pollution, famine and the end of tribal conflict to the point of violence, local or global.

Our earth is too small for any one side to get everything it wants. Our earth is to vulnerable for our fighting to matter. It will do what it does whether we get along or not. I do not think getting along means taboos or rolls. I do think getting along is more about accepting this is the same boat, the only boat we have.

Will it ever be possible to put our common problems first so long as human beings value money and not the good things that it can facilitate?

Yes and no. When you look at the west and where it went from fear and superstition and religious fascism, we did manage to put a leash on it. I would like to think our species is better as a whole with it's ability to figure things out. I am not ignoring our dark side. I really am putting this out there for the individuals worldwide to spread it in hopes to extend our ride.

Dreaming on my part? Yes. Even our enemies dream of peace. Our problem is we see that as local and dependent on the other knowing their place. I'd like to see us see problem solving more as a human issue rather than a power struggle.

Can we? If I am being honest, it seems based on our past interactions, the local aspect for our species seems to be a real bitch for us to get over.

Eh, good at heart seems kinda broad, i think everyone is a little different. Maybe doing good is something that comes across everyone but i think doing bad comes around also, the 2nd one just isn't shown to the public as much by most people.

I did not know that?

I think you miss her intuition which was right. If it were not for what Germans were sold, by one nut, they would not have done that to her.

Humans don't get born with labels, they are born babies, it isn't until adults sell them something that humans get divided.

We are good a heart, but our species far too much is focused on what we are sold and not enough about our evolution. You are not born with the thought of killing someone for being different. It is only until the adults or society sell them that that humans get divided.

It is OK to hate ideas, and fascism. It is not ok to forget that those who didn't have the benefit of being born with pluralism to treat them as sub human.

No matter how much a human may hate another human, we are still human.

Yes we are. The difference is between micro and macro. Our behavior locally shows we have compassion. We always have. Evolution unfortunately does not care which wins. But humans are not different in that we flock to what works for us LOCALLY and cooperation and empathy is our species majority. Where we fuck up is the dark side.

It really isn't different than climate change denial. You have some who like warm weather and others who like cold weather but neither see that their likes are local.

Collectively we are good as a species locally. Globally we cant see our dark side. Our good side is the majority. Unfortunately our blinders override that more often than not.

Good is in all of us, our tribalism is an unfortunate product of reality because we are not individually as humans big enough to see how we affect others.

Good is a majority. But the point of view of "the other" is a majority as well because our views are local.

Unfortunately good and bad work in evolution. The good part of our species is that we do overcome those things. The conflict is not between labels, the conflict is our species lack of macro vs micro. We are not different.
