Have you read his "Partials" books?
No, but I might if I restart my account at audible. Depends on if I get all my backlogged credits back (when my account was frozen I still had like 6 credits on the account - I paid for them, I better get 'em back!!!).

I couldn't get past the "All he wanted was a girl he wouldn't hurt with his giant dong" and her being, like you say, the one human who first discovers using flint to make fire (or pyrite in the books, I think), being the one to domesticate horses, single-handedly nursing Mr. Studly McGiant-Dick back to health while living all alone with her domesticated horses and her tame saber-tooth tiger... bullshit.
The devolving into shitty romance novels was really what pushed it over the edge for me. I hate that crap. I like books where people are being hunted by serial killers or solving mysteries or getting kidnapped or saving the world.

Yeah, the giant dong thing was really bad. Not just bigger than a baby's arm. Bigger than a toddler's arm.
I've started "The Camel Club" series by Davis Baldacci. Two book in so far. Not as good as the "Mitch Rapp" books, but still pretty good. Among the better political thrillers. Just not among the best.

"Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?"
May be the best novel I've ever read. I haven't read many novels but I tend to like sci-fi. This book was phenomenal.

A clash of kings. Great set of books, are they not? Best thing in fantasy right now, I would venture to say.
I quite liked Asimov's The Foundations.
Great books? What about a great tip? List of atheist authors Ctrl+F novelists.

My give a damn broke during the 5th book. If Martin never finishes the series, I won't miss them. Sad too, because I enjoyed them right through the fourth book.

We'll see what happens. I'm on summer schedule at work so I don't have my lunch hour over which to read, so I only have time right before I go to bed to read, which also means I read about four pages and then fall asleep...
Last night I got through a whole chapter, though - but it was also a Tyrion chapter...

I'm well into the 12th "Pendergast" book by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child. To say the plots are getting convo-fucking-luted is putting it rather mildly. I thinkk I'm goint to have to read books 11-14 twice just to make sense of all the twists, turns, spirals and loops the plots take so that I can be fully prepared for book 15 when it hits the virtual shelves in November. They're very good books, but damn, the plots are starting to to resemble nests of snakes.
