If God sent your child to Hell.
RE: If God sent your child to Hell.
I believe hell was a gift from Jesus, the "nice one". The OT doesn't reference hell. So it was a new addition from our all loving God.

Love me or burn, you skunk weasels! Yes, I have problems. But I can do what I like because I'm a god! Fuck you!

Does it seem to anyone else like a psycho attention seeking toddler found this magic crown which turned him into a god? Thinking

I am not sure if you are aware of 'The Book of Enoch' & 'The Book of the secrets of Enoch'.

Hell is referred to as 'Sheol'

1- The Book of Enoch: http://book-ofenoch.com/
2- The Book of the secrets of Enoch: http://www.sacred-texts.com/bib/fbe/fbe107.htm

Apparently Enoch was the first prophet whom ascended to heaven and met God, he wrote this book according to what he had witnessed. Two Angels came to his bed while asleep, then picked him up on his wings to the 7 Heaven's. This book is so interesting.

Interestingly enough, the Quran refers to this Book by name. That is why i have embarked on researching for this book. Allegedly Muhammad had a similar event to that of Enoch. But in this book it's explained in more details, i feel like Muslim scholars plagiarized the narrative approach to fit Muhammad's description of Heaven & Hell.

It that how 'rational thought' works in your world? Pair someone or Something like God with a negative concept with absolutely nothing to back it up, and then make a sweeping move to dismiss based on what? That's how John stewart does it when he does want to address something topically, yet want to triumph over something?

Quote:Darling, stop being so damn dumb.
Sweetheart look again. I am the one speaking point by point. I have not made any moves to foundationless or broad brush dismissals, as you have. (that's what dumb people do when they can figure out how to dismiss a subject topically.) Wink

Quote:You are the perfect example of the willfully ignorant.
Oh, the Irony!

Quote:Your problem is that you believe in the message, without allowing your brain to do the job it must do.
What makes you think that? What evidence do you have to support your assertion? Is everything you think based on the fact I do not agree with you? If so aren't you appealing to a bigoted anti-christian sterotype?

Quote:You shut your brain off, telling it to ignore reality and rationality.
Then please by all means, demonstrate this 'rational' you speak of.

Quote: When you do that, you are ignoring the fundamentals of being human.  Rather, you would make yourself inhuman.
Wow.. Just Wow... Right out of the Hitler/SS play book. Dehumanize your opponent, that way you can justify anything you want to do or say about them. So again is this another example of the brand of 'rational' you keep referencing?

Sweetheart didn't your mama tell you then even when people don't act rationally, they still retain their humanity? That a thought process or state of mind does not eliminate a birth right? We are born human sport, nothing we can say, do or don't do, will ever change that. We simply live in different spectrums of said humanity, depending on how rational we act.. or don't act..

Quote:Religion does not celebrate who we are.
Because according to most of you we are little better than monkeys who'd rather be fling poo at one another.
Let me ask you have you ever had a puppy? Now did you let the puppy 'celebrate himself' by eating whatever shoes he want to chew on, pooping and peeing when and where he wanted, eating what and when he wanted.. Or did you demand that his will conform to your own by putting restrictions on his behavior?

Even if you are some hopeless hippy who ruins dogs by letting them do whatever they want, know that vast majority of the people alive and who have ever lived do not want their dogs pooping in their beds or eating off their plate while they are eating.

To allow us to live out to our 'monkey/man' potential is a kin to allowing a Dog to do whatever He wants unchecked. If left unchecked long enough, the dog will turn on man/Humanity. So too do we. (ISIS, Nazi's, Taliban ect.)

Quote:Rather, religion does all it can to suppress who we are. That is not living.

That is death by religion.
I agree to a degree. Religion/Man's effort to worship God. Can be full of rules designed to suppress everything and everyone. Two of my wild Dog/man examples above have religion at their core. However Christianity, Biblical Christianity is not about rule of law but freedom from it. Freedom to worship God with all of our being.
