Why Do We Remember things From Our Childhood?

RE: Why Do We Remember things From Our Childhood?
Yeah... If I remember right, it doesn't just store a bit of information in one place, but rather it's spread out around the brain.

Could that be more vague? Something like that. The brain is truly amazing.

Yeah and since different portions of the brain process feelings and sensory input and the rest, it stands to reason that some assembly may be necessary.

98% of the atoms in your body are replaced every year. We are nothing more than atom recyclers.

So a slow, long lasting chemical reaction?

But those atoms originate from the stars exploding, so that's pretty rad IMO

Now I can't drink anyway because of medication.

No, hitting yourself upside the head is not listed among the 7 habits of highly effective people. But whatever you're doing now, you must be doing something right. Smile
The god who allows children to be raped out of respect for the free will choice of the rapist, but punishes gay men for engaging in mutually consensual sex couldn't possibly be responsible for an intelligently designed universe.

If you copy a file from the hard drive on your computer to a USB flash drive, each will "remember" the same thing despite the fact they are comprised of different molecules. The information is the in pattern in which those molecules are arranged, not the molecules themselves.
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

I had EMDR treatment for depression, and if there was a suppressed trauma, it didn't come out. The guy seemed uncertain about whether I did have trauma, he said I showed a lot of signs of it but then was unwilling to commit.

I know my parents were always screaming at each other even when I was very young, so it could be down to that. Maybe they threw things as well. I don't know if there was violence, but I certainly can't count it out.

Maybe one of those things hit me on the head while on the potty! That would explain a lot actually...
