Screw the Circadian Rythm

Screw the Circadian Rythm
I fell asleep while browsing the internets AGAIN, I hate it when that happens, and I woke up to the sound of my phone hitting the floor and now I'll just spend the rest of the night online instead of sleeping

I'm a night owl, hoo hoo

Tell me about your messed up sleep habits so I don't feel bad, pls

RE: Screw the Circadian Rythm
A new video game will often mess up my sleep habits. It's especially annoying because I wear contacts, and I can only keep them in for so long without them really irritating my eyes. So I'll wind up being awake during the day, having to rest my eyes from the contacts, and not being able to do anything.

Sleep is overrated, but highly necessary.  I spent a week and a half in Mexico a few years ago, I don't think I got more than a couple of dozen hours of sleep the whole time.  Wheeeeee!  I was manic though, that might have had a thing or two to do with it.  Tongue

It's generally a third of your life wasted just lying in bed.

So does age.  I think I slept about five hours a night in my twenties and felt fine.  Now I need eight even though I spend the middle two half awake.

Right? I could do so much procrastinating in this wasted time

And nightmares, I hate nightmares. They screw up my day

I go to bed around now. I'm up at 5am. I get about 6 hours of sleep. I need 8-10 to feel rested. I haven't gotten 8 hours of sleep in months.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

RE: Screw the Circadian Rythm
Years of working third shift has made it nearly impossible to sleep on a normal schedule. Irregular is probably a better word for it. Which is great because I start my new job tomorrow at 7am. Yay! Probably won't be sleeping tonight.
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:

"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."

For context, this is the previous verse:

"Hi Jesus" -robvalue

Even the DST change throws me off for at least a week.

Once, a VERY long time ago I switched work shifts 6 times in 7 weeks and was a fucking zombie the whole time.

I don't get how it works, last night I got 5 hours of sleep and I'm fine, on Monday I got solid 8 and was exhausted all day

I noticed it makes a huge difference if I wake up on my own instead of being woken up by the alarm
