I've moved them to the donation bar for now. I don't like them much there but at least it's not at the top and part of the logo which seemed to be the main objection.

I dunno, I can't really decide now. Personally I'd rather not have them at all. The way they pop in every time you load the page just annoys me. It actually affects the positioning of everything else below it now too when that happens.

Maybe move them to a "support your forum page" along with the donation info and a visitor's guestbook or something.

I don't know. I'm split. I recognize the need to draw support to the forum. If I'm not mistaken, the twitter button could be made into a plain link; then only the like button remains.

Yeah I'm split too. I can understand it's cool to have them but aesthetically they just don't seem to fit in with everything else.
