In a nutshell, my ex got guardianship of my oldest via a corrupt court system and he has been keeping her from me since September.

Oh my Judi, I'm sooo sorry to hear that.  I don't think I have enough hugs to give to cover that!
So, he's got full guardianship and you haven't seen your child at all since September? That's messed up. You appealed the decision, but it will take a year for your appeal to be heard?
Are you in contact with any of your old in laws? I'm just trying to think of a way for you to try to get him to be reasonable and allow you to visit at least.
I wish I had some advice to give you, but when I got divorced I didn't have kids with the douche I was divorcing. He still took everything I owned and left me with 30k in debt, but that's nothing compared to taking a child away. I have a child now, so I can sympathize. If anyone tried to keep her from me, I'd cry too.
I can offer a shoulder to cry on, if you want to talk about it more, feel free to PM me. I know we don't know each other much, but I'm a pretty good listener.
In any case, I hope it gets solved faster than a year for you!

I wasn't married to him, thankfully. However, my family knows he's abusive and causing parental alienation and they continue to support his side anyway. They truly are brainwashed by this man. This is the second appeal. The first appeal took ten months from Feb to Nov. last year. We filed in Dec as soon as we found out, but I told my attorney that I didn't want to go through another appeal because I have evidence that could get the guardianship revoked. Dumbass attorney filed against my wishes and now I'm stuck waiting. The superior court won't withdraw my petition because they say I am "being represented", which is bullshit because I didn't ask for the appeal in the first place. My signature is on nothing. So I'm missing out on having my daughter home where she belongs all because of a corrupt system that never should have placed her with that man to begin with.

Well, that totally sucks! That isn't any comfort, I'm sorry, But that really is a mess.
On the bright side, it sounds like after the year is up, you will get custody back since you have evidence against him. I know it's a long time to wait. Maybe someone with more legal experience will be able to shorten the wait, I have 0 legal experience or knowledge.
