Connection problem

I'm getting this weird thing where I can't connect to the site for a couple of minutes, but my internet connection is working fine for everything else. It sorts itself out after that, but then keeps coming back every so often.
This is a new problem for me over the last few days, is anyone else experiencing it?

I just had another glitch just now... Pretty sure I can't blame the porn sites ... I haven't even been on them this last hour!

The downtime experienced last night was likely due to me changing some config files and making a small typo in one of them. I corrected this issue as soon as I noticed it.
The changes I made to the config will hopefully (fingers crossed) resolve the gateway timeout issues some people have experienced.
