When did Christianity buy marriage?

If he has defined it as that, nobody has any right to change that definition.

Bullshit.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marriage_%...evelopment

Quote:With the development of sacramental theology, marriage was included in the select seven to which the term "sacrament" was applied. Explicit classification of marriage in this way came in reaction to the contrary teaching of Catharism that marriage and procreation are evil: the first official declaration that marriage is a sacrament was made at the 1184 Council of Verona as part of a condemnation of the Cathars.

Late Middle Age horseshit.  Probably when the church figured out they could suck a few more coins out of the populace.

You ain't gotta lie to kick it.

Speaking of hating gays...

Can you address my other question? Are you aware that you can still hate them even if they're married?

I was under the impression the strictest penalty normally meted out was denial of the Jesus biscuit.

I'll make a note of this.
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

Actually, no.  God spent the old testament being completely ok with marriage being between one man and multiple wives (and the wives didn't have much say in anything, since they were pretty much just cattle to their husband).  Haven't you read the bible?  Humanity has been constantly redefining marriage and gay acceptance is just another step in that direction.  Even more recently, interracial marriage was supposed to be against gods' will, but now the same Christians who objected to interracial marriage are objecting to same sex marriage.

On a couple of occasions, I recall quadriplegics getting grief from the Catholic church regarding marriage as they would not be able to consummate. Apparently this matter of dogma has been cleared up sufficiently as I don't recall any recent incidents.

That my friend is the problem with far to many bible thumping retards, they haven't read the bible.
Science is measurably beautiful.
