Michael Biehn (Kyle Reese) telling Sara Connor he had always been in love with her and he came through time for her is just about the hottest scene in any movie I've ever seen.

That line would have worked on me too !!

Actually, the Arnold-type terminator was '...living tissue over a metal endoskeleton'.  If a particular issue of that model survived long enough, it makes perfect sense that it would eventually look like a 67 years old Austrian.

I stopped watching after terminator 2.    I have too low an expectation for story lines much past the second installment of any "franchise".   I also dislike the concept of movie "franchises" itself.   Why rehash old premises when one could have sharpened one's originality by coming up with something new?      I decline to have my money So easily parted from me as by so unthinking a trick as adding another installment to a movie "franchise".

Yes, but were talking about a newly mined one for the purpose of this film. A newly minted 67-year old Austrian terminator doesn't make sense.
