Last night on my best friend's birthday party I came across atheists who like me deny the existense of any gods but they still think we're the only living things in the Universe. Simple logic suggests the opposite but I decided to open this poll cuz I wondered how many of us here refuse to accept the indisputable truth that "where's one, there's more". Fortunately for me, I'm not one of those who deny the existence of extra-terrestrials but I'm curious to see your point of view.
I'll explain my view on that a little later cuz right now I can barely keep my eyes open - I drank all night.

I find it highly improbable that this huge ass universe only has one planet with life on it.

So yes, I think extraterrestrial life exists. As to whether or not that life is intelligent... That's another story.

Judging by the number of planets that scientists estimate to have potential hospitable conditions, (I think over a billion) I'd confidently stand by my belief in saying that there mostly likely is at least one planet out there that is very similar to earth, with similar evolved life forms living there.

Math alone suggests that there must be life but we have no evidence for it, as yet.

Then again there is no evidence for god and there are plenty of morons who believe in that.

I think they probably do exist, but since I'm not sure on that, I voted on the last option. Interesting post, btw. Smile

I don't know.

If the question were "Do you think aliens exist?" then the answer would be yes, I do.

As you probably already know, I am "not sure".

There might be other life out there but whether they fit into our definition of life and whether we can recognize them are very troubling questions. And even if we did come across other lifeforms, given our nature, I am pretty sure we'd wipe them out, so it won't matter if they existed either way. Undecided

I think that they most likely do exist based on the sheer number of planets available.

I don't think we've been visited by any of them, though (except in the form of little slimy things on meteors).
