Maybe you should make it so that those whom it might concern also receive an Alert Notice redirecting them to the Mod/Admin one in the thread. Then, you would be sure those that really need to see it do.

Maybe the pink wizard could have a similar pink warning box when he replies to theists: Warning: I WAS a theist! Don't bullshit a bullshitter!

I'm not sure the software can do it, but at the very least, the moderator making such a post should take the time to PM the offender and link him to the post via PM, in the absence of a better alternative. The principle is certainly sound.

However, in most cases, when we make an in-thread notification, it's aimed at the participants in the thread, not any one person in particular. Just something to keep in mind. Perhaps you might reread what I wrote, imagine the context, and stop being so fucking obtuse.
