Is there no alternative to evolution?

Is there no alternative to evolution?
I think that we must have the basic thoery (at least) of evolution correct as the only possible alternative is creation which is scientifically rediculus (and we all know we are not (at least Intelligently) designed

Just looking for arguments for website (removed url coz of rules 2 + 5)
See my gmail page proof evolution is false if you want url

What do you think? Could there be an alternative?

1) You are most likely violating the 30/30 rule on this forum by posting a link like that.
2) If you are looking for evolution deniers, you are in the wrong place

RE: Is there no alternative to evolution?
Evolution isn't about "what could have happened", it's what the evidence suggests -did- happen, even if there are millions of other possible ways to arrive at where we are, the evidence suggests that we took this path, this route, not some possible or plausible "other" route.

If, for example, there are gods out there creating life on planets, they don't seem to have done so on this planet - and regardless of the truth of that assumption of the existence and ability of creative gods.....it has little bearing on what happened here, which is all that our current theory of evolution concerns itself with....and no, there is no evidence that we did not evolve. There is both a -fact- of evolution, and a theory as to how that;s occurred. People constantly confuse the two, or feel that discrediting our current theory of how that evolution was accomplished would discredit evolution itself. It wouldn't. Our current theory is an attempt to explain an observed fact. Any explanation of that fact necessarily accepts evolution - it simply disagrees on the manner in which it was achieved.

The alternative is that we are in a computer simulation.

Evolution would still appear to be happening.
The only alternative to evolution (the change of allele frequencies) is total stasis.
So how, exactly, does God know that She's NOT a brain in a vat? Huh

-in which case we would be the product of an evolutionary algorithm described adequately, though incompletely, by current evolutionary theory. Ala, what we think is biology is actually bits.
