What should I think...

It's really like something is messing with my mind and trying to convince me of God...

The other day I was scribbling in my notebook and drawing geometry. I drew a circle with lines between the poles like a pumpkin and thought nothing of it. Then later I started imagining a fish face like a gold fish or something and kept seeing in my mind eyes far apart, no nose and a mouth. Then at one point I started wondering what a picture of a face within a face would look like. Then I went out for a smoke, looked up and took a picture. If you tilt your head a bit it looks like a cartoon goldfish type face then tilt your head the other way and within the fish face you can see half a pumpkin face...



I had been looking at bits of information on the internet about Gods name for the past couple weeks and came across this from Wikipedia.
"EL" is a Northwest Semitic word meaning "god" or "deity"
So I kept thinking about the letter "L" because when you say that letter it sounds like "EL". Then yesterday I went out for a smoke and saw a letter L forming in the clouds so I got my camera to take a pic as more details started forming. It's not the greatest quality pic because this cheap camera has a bunch of auto settings on it like shutter and focus but if you look closely you'll see the letter L and then a nose and nostril and slits for eyes. It looks like a being wanted to combine the "L" with the design of a face to suggest the idea of it being God...



And a weird coincidence is I was listening to my mp3 player and right after I took that picture the song playing was Benny Benassi - Come Fly Away and it sang That's my soul, Come fly with me...

We evolved to be great at spotting patterns, as it is crucial to our survival.

As we evolved it was safer to assume the positive, even if it turned out to be false. For example: there is a noise in the bushes. It's safer to assume that it is a predator and escape (survive regardless of whether we were correct in our assumption or not) than assume it is just the wind and stay, in which case we only survive if we were right. This leads to enforcing this trait of recognizing patterns even if there are none 'just in case'. As a result, people see faces on trees, toasts, electric outlets and other such things, or see shapes in clouds. This is the trait that Pascal's Wager exploits: better safe than sorry. But if you so to think about it, you'll see how silly it is.

We are not that dependent on this ability anymore, and it is unreasonable to follow it. Instead it's better to use logic and critical thinking.

I can sort of see what you mean. I see a demon face with its mouth open and pointy ears in the second cloud picture. It has in upward pointing nose pretty much in the middle of the picture, and it's mouth is below and to the right of it.

I need to get a paint program on it and draw it!

That would be a fun game, actually. Lots of pictures of clouds, and then everyone drawing on them what they see.

Great, now I see a demon in the first picture too. What's wrong with me!

I definitely see your pattern for "seeing things".  You mentioned every time when you go out to smoke you see theses things.
