Are you calling me out by taking out of context something I said in a R'lyeh thread? Nevertheless, LP, Google is not a person, and there's way too much to research on the topic. I prefer asking real people, with real experiences and knowledge about the world they live in. Of course, I will and already have consulted google on the topic. This is not something to ignore altogether.
Where do you live now and where would you like to live?

A smart person as you are should be able to get any university out there. Unless you are dumb like like me and have to pay for it. RE: University?

But I am more concerned with where I'm going to make my studies abroad, right now, I'm not looking that far ahead as to think about where I want to spend the rest of my life. I want to go to a good university, within my own possibilities, so I can grow from there. Are you calling me out by taking out of context something I said in a R'lyeh thread? There's all kinds of smart. And even so, not necessarily. The system is fucked where I'm from, so it's more about connections, money and luck, when you get right down to it, not so much about smarts. And the way lower education is here, you're not really incentivized to learn all that much either, and it's really shit anyway, so... But yeah, basically, I have to pay for it, I think. I haven't applied anywhere yet, so I don't know, but there's no shortcut for me in sight.
If you are as bright as you claim, there shouldn't be a problem for you to get a scholarship. Go at it, instead of looking down at us with your superiority flair. Only time can make you wiser.
Well I can heartily recommend you steer clear of UK universities. They seem to have taken a leaf out of the movie 300 -
Other than that, I see you are 19 from your profile. My advice would be to simply find a hopefully not-terrible job for a few years, ground yourself in some solid work experience, and regroup after a while to see how you feel at the end, saving as you go along. Other than that my advice capacity is woefully limited, I'm afraid If you have any serious concerns, are being harassed, or just need someone to talk to, feel free to contact me via PM (July 25, 2015 at 3:01 pm)LastPoet Wrote: If you are as bright as you claim, there shouldn't be a problem for you to get a scholarship. I'm not sure where I claimed to be either superior or brighter than anyone, here, my irascibility aside. People shouldn't ever be understood taking into account only their failures, but we should linger on the failures more, nonetheless, in order to be able to learn. I think you made a strawman out of me, and this is why we're not able to speak like adults. |
