AF roles... (color coded usernames)

RE: AF roles... (color coded usernames)
We're all global, staffing the whole forum, but admins have more buttons and do-dads to work with than the mods.

Thanks!

Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Whilst the forum software does have the ability to assign moderators to particular forums, we have never used that feature. I think staff work better when they have open scope, so all our moderators are "global moderators". The administrators have a similar role to moderators; we do all the same stuff such as discussing / voting on rule violations and handing out punishments, however we also have access to the settings for the entire forum, so an administrator can change all sorts of things behind the scenes which the moderators can't. Additionally, both myself and Synackaon have server access and look after that.

Does AF have some sort of "president?" Lol.

I'm technically the owner since the domain is registered to myself, and I pay for hosting (when donations don't cover it), etc. However realistically I have no more power that any of the other administrators when it comes to forum related matters.

Thank you.

Synackaon? I thought this was a monotheism.
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:

"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."

For context, this is the previous verse:

Something awful must occur in order to summon the entity known as Moros Synackaon.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Outside of purple, orange, and pink extras, this place is set up exactly like PHPFreaks. Admins and mods are the staff, with admins having more site-related powers and responsibilities.

*sniff* I miss my blue mod badge (at PHPF we had colored badged below our names indicating our roles) and ban hammer....

EDIT: I mean, look at how sexy that badge is.... http://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/292303...try1495878

You guys should make yourselves badges, too. They're spiffy.

He was a twat to me in the only interaction I remember.  The "something awful" apparently consisted of me writing something he didn't agree with, and he went full-cunt pretty quickly. I'm unimpressed -- he should stick to coding, and avoid posting.

I hasten to add, Anusius is the resident deity of Atheist Forums.

If he should be unable to complete his duties, first runner up is the Flying Spaghetti Monster.
