A smelly smell that smells smelly

RE: A smelly smell that smells smelly
I mostly agree with Thena323.  I am not overly concerned with a person's smell, as long as they are clean and do not have an overpowering smell to them.  I prefer that women go very light on the perfume (or not use it at all).  Men I would rather not be able to smell at all (I have no interest in them; they should not intrude on my space with any discernible smell).  Fortunately, I generally like standing far away from others, as that helps reduce their apparent smell.

That said, who would be attracted to someone who doesn't smell good?

Beats me....

But I'm sure it happens.

Same as Pyr and Thena. Though when this one girl I really really liked changed her perfume to a much stronger one, I didn't mind at all. But generally strong smells put me off. I love the smell of cologne when guys pass me by, but it would start to irritate me if I had to stay in a room with them for a longer period of time.

It would depend on the cause of the smell. Were it a disagreeable natural smell then the attraction would be immediately lost. If it were just general hygiene, that could be worked with.

Gotta go with others, bad hygiene and I have no interest. I prefer no smell to even light perfume. I only take on the smell of my deodorant, my wife is a combo of deodorant and scented hair shampoo.

Ex, you also asked where to rank smell among other attributes. I'm first attracted to personality, next physical. All others would be 3rd.

I read a thing that says most women are extremely attracted to smell first and foremost. And that the right smell can drive her crazy. Yeah, it was one of those articles that uses phrases like "drive her crazy".

It struck a chord with me, because, although my ex didn't have the strongest sex drive, she would get pretty excited by my deodorant. She said it reminded her of the summer we met and first spent a lot of time together. She would make me wear it. Then there's the thing about smell being some of our strongest memories, so I thought there might be something to it.
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:

"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."

For context, this is the previous verse:

I wonder if this will differ between men an women. I know I appreciate when a woman makes the effort to smell good with whatever fragrance, but I think I'm more concerned with her not smelling bad.

What do you think? Do you think? Is it a thing you even realize you care about?

I think it's something that could tip the balance, it could make a mediocre looking girl be unacceptable.  There's been times when a really nice smell has made an already good looking girl seem ridiculously irresistible.

But I can't even remember ever meeting a good looking girl who smelled bad, I don't think it would bother me as long as it was a temporary thing and not overwhelming.

It would be difficult to be turned on in the presence of raw sewage or something like that no matter where the smell is coming from.

Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.

Impersonation is treason.

Thanks, Thena Smile Yeah, I'm not looking forward to this. The other day we were stuck in traffic and I look over and she's playing with her one long armpit hair that she just discovered. :/ I had to gather myself, as I sort of fell apart inside (most would see a kid playing with an armpit hair, I saw a sign of the apocalypse), to tell her she probably ly shouldn't do that in public. Haha Ohhh, we had a good laugh. Damn kids are odd.

Haha Man, I could tell you some stories about screaming in my head and being calm IRL. Do you have girls or boys or both?
