I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:
"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay." For context, this is the previous verse: "Hi Jesus" -robvalue (September 8, 2015 at 2:47 am)Thena323 Wrote: I would suggest that you make an appt to see a physician in a few weeks. In the meantime you could try melatonin (do NOT start at 10mg) or Unisom OTC. Make certain you pick up Unisom tabs, the active ingredient is Doxylamine succinate. Other Unisom pills contain diphenhydramine, which is Benedryl Personally, I can't tolerate the doxylamine-based meds, the next day is hell for me. On the other hand, OTC benadryl I have the best results with, and I've tried a lot of RX solutions.
For waking up you could try the Indian trick. Drink a lot of water before going to bed. Let me know if you sleep through peeing the bed.
Better living through chemistry. I take 75 mg if diphenhydramine (Benadryl, benefit of the anticholinergic side effect) at around 8 PM each night. Kicks in around 9 to 10 depending on whats going on. Sometimes groggy in the AM, worst side effect for me in AM dry mouth. Not all people can tolerate that dose. With any OTC start low and work up. Most OTC sleep aids contain doxylamine or diphenhydramine. Both antihistamines, use which every works best for you. There also natural sleep aids you can try (cough, cough, god what am I saying, threw up in mouth). They may or may not work. See the Dr. There are oldies that work and new stuff that works. Addiction potential needs to be addressed. May take awhile to find one that works for you. Some have side effects that people find intolerable. A fairly complete rx list can be found here: http://www.rxlist.com/sleep_disorder_med...dition.htm There is a new one with a unique MOA not on the other list: http://www.rxlist.com/belsomra-drug.htm Good luck. Sweet dreams!
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.
This may be irrelevant to your case, but do you keep the curtains of your window open while you sleep? Sunlight helps with balancing out the circadian rhythm.
If you're not outside a lot, give yourself a couple of hours without sunglasses as well. Works wonders for me.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

I roomed with someone like you during tech school in the Air Force. He used a timer and an "8" diameter fire alarm bell to wake up. Nobody else in our wing of the dorm needed an alarm clock with that thing but it barely got him up. One morning, he just lay there, propped up on one elbow staring at the thing with a look of shock on his face - like he was looking at an alien that had just teleported into our room. I went over and shut the thing off. He slowly turned at looked up at me with the same expression. It was obvious that he didn't know who I was, he was or even what either of us were. I was sure glad when he graduated and left.
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

I have similar problems waking up. It's like my sleep cycle walks around the clock. I recently cut out caffeine and that has helped, but probably the best suggestion is to see a sleep doctor.
I've been using a doxylamine sleep aid lately and it works fairly well, but I don't remember the 'feeling drowsy' part. I hear they stop working after a short time on them (30 days?), so I'm counting on the placebo effect. RE: Trouble waking up

@Steel Yeah, I get a lot of sun at work and I wear glasses so no sunglasses for me. I know what you mean though, because when the planets align that has worked on me, but it's almost like I can't be aware of it or something.
@brewer Maybe I ought to try some sort of meds; you're the 3rd or 4th to suggest it, but my initial worry is that it will just make me sleep twice as deep and I'll sleep through my alarm. Half the time I wonder if falling asleep is so hard because I'm too worried about not waking up in time. @Irrational I wake up with the sun in my face on weekends, I wake up too early for the sun on work days. You guys are awesome. If anything I know I'm not the only one with this problem. I have a hard time justifying seeing a Dr for this though, money wise. Saving up for a broken leg, or something. I'm banking on the Sonic Boom alarm clock! Can't wait for it. Get at me!

Have you tried a doctor? Anti-depressives might help, maybe?
