Rinse and repeat until you find yourself in Valhalla.

Sounds just like fucking yhwh.

He was a prick, too.

Personally whenever people ask me to pray for them, I take it as them asking me to do nothing except feel bad for them.  So I use the Atheist version of that, and say "I"ll keep you in my thoughts."  (Thoughts and prayers are basically the same thing anyway)

I never said that he was special, none of them are, if anything they are described as psychic vampires that are feeding upon our misery and pain. It's kinda their shtick.
I would more generally advocate that one only leave one entrance into their mind(reason), and keep the rest of it rather closed, as it is one hell of a lot easier to shovel shit in than it is to get it out.

If the evidence and reason for you to believe something isn't really any better than the reason you should believe some rural farmer from Arkansas got anally probed by interstellar visitors, then you probably shouldn't.

At least Odin gives you beer and pussy every night in Valhalla.

Just go back to your boss and tell him how you feel!
If he says "that is disrespectful", tell him: "well, you started it!"
No God, No fear.
Know God, Know fear.

Odin has many names, e.g. the All-Father, the Terrible One, the God of War, God of the Hanged/Dead, the Wise One, and others. He's a pretty moody god and you never know how he'll respond to an unsolicited request, such as a prayer. How do you respond to a telemarketer or an aggressive salesman, like a Jehovah's Witness banging on your door at dinnertime? I believe the best way is to pray that he's in a good mood and then also ask for forgiveness. Angel

I don't even remember this one.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'
