Camping, baby was three weeks premature and came very fast. She lost her shit on the paramedic that eventually got there and kept asking her what she was doing camping when she was that close to the end of a pregnancy. It was a good question, she just had heard it 1,000 times by that point.

I could watch any episode, any time. (Except for season 9 of Scrubs where they tried to start with a new cast in med school. It was literally the worst shit on TV.

Roseanne did the same thing...season 9 was a dead loss.

1. I love the things that anybody else would find terrible about media. "The first episode is just forty minutes of talking and plot setup!" was a selling point for me on a recent anime.
2. I used to have a high school band that I'm not particularly embarrassed by. I was lead guitar.
3. My laptop is full of the first pages of stories and novels I intend to work through one by one... but the collection keeps growing because I never stop thinking up new things.
4. The vision in my left eye is so weak that if I close my right eye, even when wearing my glasses, I'm functionally blind.
5. My high school nickname was "zombie." I'll leave it to you all to guess why.
6. Whenever I listen to rock music I have a tendency of choreographing fight scenes to it in my head.
7. The nerves in my right hand are shot, and its mobility is limited just enough to make playing a guitar again impossible. I had to relearn typing, and even now I'm a hunt-and-peck guy with that hand.
8. I have an unironic love for spinach and ricotta ravioli.
9. I was born in Tasmania.
10. I have a rescue dog back home that we've had to studiously rebuild from his various ailments. Allergy shots, deworming, even metal pins in his back legs. He got lucky with us: most other owners would have just taken him back.

1.  I'm the second of seven kids as was my mother.  My father was the fourth of seven kids.  (No need for me to reproduce.)
2.  I've always taken walks in canyons or woods or on beaches, going back to before I started school.  
3.  Through high school I would never so much as ride a roller coaster because I just loved life too much to risk losing it.
4.  In my twenties I discovered the adrenaline rush of taking my life in my own hands.
5.  I've always had a dog since before I got out of high school, though my family didn't get our first until I was 8 or 9.
6.  My first reading passion was everything to do with animals.  I pretty much read or skimmed everything at the local library.
7.  I was very awkward with girls into my twenties.  Focused on relationships in my late twenties.  Now I love the company of women.
8.  Got into gardening by way of building aviaries and keeping birds.  Planting them out led to enhancing the yard for wild birds.
9.  Weed and hallucinogens were huge for me for noticing and realizing things.  Haven't had any more in ages and probably never will.
10. I enjoy doing things without mental narration.  A quiet head is a happy head.
