I used to teach and tutor in maths.

And I admire that. Something in the back of my mind is blocking math. I say blocking because there has been a couple of instances when I suddenly understood the logic behind formulas. It was as if a curtain was drawn away, but sadly it vanished as quick as it came. I couldn't hold that understanding.

I even had a psychological test a couple of years ago, where the supervisor mused about never having seen a person like me. Top when it comes to words and associations, flop when it comes to anything concerning numbers.

And that goes extra for family, and extra for friends. I'm operating on a different kind of budget this year, but there is still a HEAVY portion of that going into the 'helping others' category.

It's gotten to the point that I will either have to become a therapist (and get PAID to help people, when I'm not volunteering and out doing it on the goddamned streets)... or my jobs will always be detracted from with the sheer scale of how far I would take this kind of thing. I'd end up earning no money, too many people to help XD And only real way to get help to them is legislative, but that skillset isn't in my repertoire, and won't be until I'm some kinda fairly odd parental nutter.

Just asked the wife just now:

She says: "Cleaning up after myself, hanging clothes up, having a shower, switching off lights" etc
Cooking, Cleaning, etc ... well them skills are just non existent! But apart from them, I'm pretty handy!
