Some parental advice from all the lovely parentals? Non parentals also welcome :D

RE: Some parental advice from all the lovely parentals? Non parentals also welcome :D
The first step is to make your child really understand the pros and cons of the situation, not just the choice but the long term consequences of said choice. The hardest part would be to convey these neutrally. Children can easily sense what their parents want, and might feel obligated to pick what they feel you want of them.

Next you should let your child decide and let her know that you are there to support her decisions.

I feel this is the perfect time and you should let her move up temporarily and see how it works out. Also you should try to help her make friends outside of school, that way she won't miss her current friends too much.

They jumped her up a grade and put her in the accelerated program.  She is MUCH happier, and doesn't mind being shorter than most of her classmates.

Good kids come from good parents. She'll be fine.

As a non parent my advice goes thusly:

If you're thinking about becoming a parent: Don't.
If you're already a parent: Medical experimentation for the kiddies.

Because the boy is a booger brain.

Sheesh, I thought everyone knew that.

My husband says that is a straight up no, though he is unsure of how he would explain that. Something about boys being rougher.
I asked him, if he is worried about kids experimenting at this age, why is ok with girls sleeping over? Girls are just as likely (if not more) to poke around at each other than girls and boys.

It's tough. I think it would depend on the boy. If he's a monster, well, I would discourage that in a boy or girl sleepover, but if he's a good kid....why not? Can't they sleep in sleeping bags or something so it's not the same bed?
