I'm trying to remember the very first PC game I had when I got a 286 PC for my 18th birthday. I think it might have been Prince of Persia which was lent to me by a friend.

PC games, first ever PC game?

Carriers at War.
I don't remember the exact first one, but it was something on the Commodore 64. This was one of the ones I remember the most...
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell

It looks pretty sweet, and the concept sounds cool. The only way to get health is to kill an enemy, so the best way to stay alive is to kill as many enemies as quickly as possible. The previews of the PvP have gotten a good reaction, and they're going to have level editing for the consoles, too. It looks nice, too.

Looks much better and faster paced than doom 3 too. Doom 3 bores me massively.
Still doesn't look quite fast enough though, I wish the run speed was more like the Unreal Tournament games.... or the original doom games. Other than that, still a lot faster and indeed does look awesome. Anyway, before it derails into a discussion of newer games: First PC games people, keep it coming, yay! Also, creating a favourite MS DOS game thread now.
My first actual game on a PC was X3: The Reunion, second hand a few years back. It took a loooooong time to get into PC gaming in any capacity.
My first video games were Spyro: Season of Ice and Attack of the Clones on the Gameboy Advance, in 2002. It took me a while to complete them both, but the year after I got Pokemon Ruby for Christmas, and the 800+ hours I clocked up kickstarted my love affair with Pokemon and gaming in general If you have any serious concerns, are being harassed, or just need someone to talk to, feel free to contact me via PM RE: PC games, first ever PC game?

Wow your PC and console games were late!
EDIT: Ah you're only 21, makes sense
Probably Number Munchers or one of those other edutainment games. The ones I remember in middle school were the Oregon Trail and this one where you're a slave that has to escape. I think it was called Freedom. First game I probably played for the PC that wasn't in school was Where in the USA is Carmen San Diego. It was on a disk or cd that came with a ton of games (some of them not very appropriate! lol).
Not much of a pc gamer though.
No God, No fear.
Know God, Know fear.
I need to play more Sierra adventures, I played primarily Lucasarts, also Adventuresoft and Revolution Software.
