Welcome Jun! You had your "enlightenment" earlier than I had. I had to wait for 31 years since my birth to become an atheist. And your thought about Buddha is very interesting. I was thinking in somewhat similar lines - if only we are able to enjoy life and sayings of Buddha/Jesus as the sayings of great men instead of having a monk or a priest tell us how to interpret them?

Hello and welcome from South Australia.

I met lady Japanese Catholic on line once,she was a little strange. I became embroiled in Japanese gift giving reciprocity.Not for the faint hearted.

I'm a bit surprised there are any Catholics in Japan. I thought Toyotomi Hideyoshi and his sucessor, Togugawa Ieyasu killed them all. Was there a later infestation of Christian missionaries?
