Yes, they shed quite a bit. We brush and vacuum 3 to 4 times a week to keep on top of it. Twice a year they blow the under coat.

Despite that, my clothes will be covered in shedded fur if I let her play with me in my lap. It's the dangdest thing.

Honestly I thought it was a kind of Collie, but I don't know all the breeds. I remember someone had a dog that i thought was a rottweiler, but he said it was a different breed. He was shorter, but had similar coloration and body type.
