Brave Portland Woman Breaks Up Planned Parenthood Protest by Chanting “Yeast Infections!”

The sign, which Numair crafted out of masking tape and a piece of cardboard from the dumpster, praised Planned Parenthood for treating her chronic yeast infections when she was in her early 20s and uninsured. It also included a delightful cartoon of a vagina with a smiling clitoris and a stick figure with pigtails and prominent breasts.

Kudos to this woman and her dumpster-diving sign  I love to hear stories about counter-protesters trolling anti-choicers and I really hope there's someone in the Portland area that can sculpt some giant wooden labia for her

Happy as this makes me, it's bittersweet: multiple people came out to protest and support the demonstrable fantasy concocted to get at Planned Parenthood, but only one person came out to support an accurate representation of the facts.

It is a little bittersweet I guess. The thing is that it took an organized minority to make the protest. One women appealing to the majority spontaneously shut it down. That's the beauty of free speech.
Unfortunately, that's kind of how it works with atheist billboards. A small group organizers to puts it up. A larger group takes it down with vandalism. But unlike the honkers and other supporters, lone women's allies didn't need to break the law. Sheer moral force shut them down.
Westboro Baptist protests are being routed more and more often by others (often including Christian others). Makes me smile.
If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god. If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.

Apparently some of the 'good christian' folks started calling her a 'whore'. What fucking assholes. They're pro-life so long as your a goddamn fetus. As soon as you actually come out of the womb, they don't want anything to fucking do with you. Abortion is a responsible choice no matter what the stupid fuckers think.

And they don't care about women having access to prenatal care, either. It like Jon Stewart point out. They don't give a damn about you before you're born or after, but the moment you're crowning, you're the most precious thing in the world.
