Let us know how that works out for you.

Or not; your choice.

Who're you telling? In 2007, I was actually kicked out of an ER for not having insurance.

I was taking a 10 month course at a school in Arkansas. Since I would be going back to my home state, I did not have my Medicaid transferred because that would have involved state residency. I went to the ER with idiopathic stomach pains. The nurse was going to do an ultrasound to find out what was wrong. She stepped out and then this really stern looking man came in and ordered me to leave. Like how dare you come in here with no insurance. What do you think you are—human?
The god who allows children to be raped out of respect for the free will choice of the rapist, but punishes gay men for engaging in mutually consensual sex couldn't possibly be responsible for an intelligently designed universe.

I may defend your right to free speech, but i won't help you pass out flyers.

You should have sued them.  They broke federal law.

As I keep saying to my American friends, public healthcare in other countries isn't perfect, but America should learn from those mistakes rather than looking to them as excuses not to do something. If the American government tried, I fully believe they could implement public healthcare that doesn't increase the tax burden much at all.

Sounds like you have much in common with Trevor Noah....

I wonder if republicans would be willing to pay for death camps where the poor who can't afford healthcare could go to die where they wouldn't bum the rest of us out? Nah, so long as they're in gated communities what do they care?

See there's the problem, the hospital would just argue that the ultrasound wasn't "necessary".

Well some shitball lawyer will always come up with an excuse.... the lawyer for the murdering cop in Chicago is saying that 'you can't believe your lying eyes'... but the fact that the nurse was going to do it suggests that it was the proper medical procedure.

The other problem in this country is that big corporations hide behind batteries of lawyers so they can commit their crimes with impunity.

Guaranteeing that people have access to health care isn't difficult and needn't be expensive. Here, we have a two-tier system: The government provides a level of health coverage which handles around 75% of all health costs (and 100% of accidental injuries). You can also purchase private insurance policies.

And taxes here are lower than you probably think.
