I have a big problem with incentivizing health-care with profits. My son's mother almost died from her cancer because of this sort of bullshit. Ironically, it was only when she went on MediCal after going broke paying outrageous premiums and deductibles both that she turned the corner in her fight. She'll have been five years clear next month.
That said, opting out is not an option because the ACA system is premised on premiums from healthier consumers subsidizing treatment for the ailing.
Finally, I'd like to see the clause in ACA allowing for the jailing of non-purchasers. That sounds like it's heavy on fear-mongering and light on facts.
