This reminds me of another one of these...I distinctly remember seeing The Wizard of Oz as a kid, on TV in the early 80's, where a pair of the Ruby Slippers are shown under her bed just before the credits roll.  I remember my mother going off about how she'd never seen that before, she wondered if it was an old, salvaged scene edited back in.  My mother and brother both remember this as well.  But if you look it up, it is considered a mass delusion or false memory.  Thousands of people report seeing this, or seeing her wearing them IN bed at the end, but experts say it never happened....

More time travelers changing shit?  lol

I'm not deluded regarding this issue. I'm perfectly willing to accept that my memory fails to serve me correctly at times, but I don't believe it has in this case. 

I'm not entirely convinced that this family didn't change the spelling of their name along the line. I vaguely remember a bit anti-Semitic, conspiracy garbage surrounding the Berenstain books as a pre-teen, and if I'm not mistaken, some of the Berenstain family became Episcopalians.

Of course, if I were find one of my books (purchased in the 80's) that were spelled with an a, I wouldn't know what to make of it. I'd be lying if I were to say that it wouldn't seriously fuck with my head. 

Good for me, those books are long gone...I think.
