There's no way I'm remembering this wrong

RE: There's no way I'm remembering this wrong
I distinctly remember having corrected my peers for the last 20 years when they pronounced their name "steen" or "stine" instead of "stain." So... This means they have mind-altering abilities.
How will we know, when the morning comes, we are still human? - 2D

Don't worry, my friend.  If this be the end, then so shall it be.

This type of mass false memory is probably common. For example, does anyone else think they remembered (to borrow Shermer's example) Darth Vader saying "Luke, I'm your father!"
The fool hath said in his heart, There is a God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

Dude. You're from universe B. Those of us who remember it otherwise, were originally from universe A...before time/reality was altered. We were then switched to universe B. Everything matched up the same by and large, except for minor details such as this.

So say the alternate universe theorists, anyway. Wink

"Fine, we didn't want to be Universe A anyways.  You guys can be Universe A, and we'll be Universe 1"

I remember it as "Berenstein."

I also remember the guy in Tiananmen Square getting run over by the tank.

Maybe we slipped into one of those parallel universes--you know, those other universes whose existence can never be tested and discussion of which sounds reminiscent of theological speculation.

We came from one of those.

The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

That's different, though. Someone misquoted the line from the movie--maybe a journalist or somebody with some level of fame--and the quote itself must have caught on.

Practice for Google Image Search:

That credit was used in:
Mystery of the Lizard Men
Arctic Splashdown
Pursuit of the Po-Ho
Treasure of the Temple
Double Danger
The Dreadful Doll
A Small Matter of Pygmies
Turu the Terrible
The Fraudulent Volcano
The Invisible Monster
The Devil's Tower
Terror Island
The Sea Haunt

Dratted Google....makes any time spent on memorizing trivia absolutely wasted.

I wonder if the death of Nelson Mandela mis-remember doesn't get confused with the death of Steve Biko.
South Africa
Roughly the same time frame
Black activists against apartheid.

Just wonderin'.
So how, exactly, does God know that She's NOT a brain in a vat? Huh

See, the credits had clips from many episodes. But that particular clip is ONLY seen during the end credits, it was never part of an actual episode.

Weird.

This explains it. Sorry, I'm on my phone so you may have to copy and paste the link.

I remember it as stain. I was born in 1971. The article gives a decent explanation as to why it's been thought to have been spelled wrong all these years.
