K....

Puns like these give me a fillip.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Part of me thinks it's only a matter of time before we do something catastrophically bad that can't be taken back. And AI features highly on the list of possibilities in my twisted mind.

How long before we are the robots...

I know the numbers are there, just like they were here with mother nature and mutations.
Can we ever know if we are a typical scenario with a sample of 1 to go by.

Are we the exception to the rule?
More importantly, can we know?

A sextillion - range of planets, man. Sextillion. A thousand, times a million, times a million, times a million again. If we are the ONLY ones who developed to this level of technology, then something fairly fucked up is going on.

See, the universe is sexy after all. Even the numbers about its gargantuan size involve a "sex" prefix.

So much more sexy than the whole "God just magiked it into existence, the universe is 4000 years old. Have a cookie. No in fact eat Jesus' body in cracker form.... hey do you realize you just bit his face off? That's our lord... that's our lord's face you bit off".

...anyhoo.

I think our becoming networked cyborgs is both necessary and to be welcomed, not feared. We will surely go extinct much sooner if we do not embrace that.

But if we don't play Kraftwerk while it's happening... then shall cometh the Apocalypse.

Do the right thing: Listen to The Robots by Kraftwerk if you ever become at least 50% cybernetic.

Robo Jesus is watching you:
