I think the absolute low point of Star Trek, which to Star Trek is even lower than jar jar binks was to Star Wars, was Captain Kirk fleeing wearing only 23rd century fruit of the loom from ensign Uhura's bed in JJ Abrams's franchise assassination job.

Kirk was suppose to give gravitas to interstellar hanky panky, not flee in his underwear.

Meh, I'll wait and see. The only ones I like were "Next Generation" and "Voyager". I'll give it a shot. But if it is like most shows today with the casual type acting, I'll dump it. I am no fan of shows where the actors look like they aren't putting any effort into their voice or facial expressions. I am no fan of shows that rely too much on effects and the acting looks like simply going through the motions. Plots that draw me in in any type of show, are the ones that are carried by the actor's voice and expressions.

Kirk blew up his own ship with the Klingons in it, while beaming himself out just in time, and reprogrammed Kobiashi Maru so he wins the no-win scenario.
