Unlike the 1984 film, the 2009 Syfy adaptation stays true to the original story and is quite disturbing as well.

Antoher great piece is the reference to  ecc.3:1 in farenhiet 451

Another great piece, that I cannot find a reference for unfortunately is in the anime full metal alchemit, its towards the end when roy's men move to the northern front to start a coup, their on the train heading to their death and it starts playing, come all ye faithful

I think probably the best use of a Bible verse (part of a verse, really) is Heinlein's 'Stranger In A Strange Land'. Very appropriate, as it's tough to imagine much stranger than a Martian called 'Smith'.
