Anyone else watch this show?
I love the plot twists so far, the characters aren't as one dimensional as I first thought they would be. I like the special effects and the zombies actually look a bit scary, I'm not really into zombies but they look good in this.
There's a few drawbacks though. There's a hell of a lot of corniness in it. I don't know if corny is just a British word but it means basically overly sentimental, trying to be so serious/cool and sentimental that it actually makes it funny or just stupid and easy to mock. Sort of like the song my heart will go on by Celine dion or a lot of 80s action movies.
And the corniness is mixed with a lot of God and Christian references, I'm not against that at all if it's realistic, but at one point the main character asks for a sign from god and you can just tell something else that's very corny and over emotional is going to happen that he's going to accept is a sign from god.
I get very angry about what I'm watching if something even slightly unbelievable happens. I've experienced it a couple of times in the show. One example would be when a man in the group wants to go off alone and separate from the main group as they're travelling in this world full of zombies, possibly the most attractive female in the group asks to go with him but he says no because he will just end up having to look after her.
Yeh because in a world full of killer zombies and a severe lack of females that's what you would decide to do! You wouldn't want an attractive blonde female to have sex with, keep you company, she also has a gun and a pair of eyes to watch your back while you watch hers. What you really want to do is go off on your own and wallow in your own sadness and depression masturbating the nights away while no one at all is looking out for you. And the girl is easily a 10 out of 10, maybe not to everyone's tastes and niches but she is a stereotypical hollywood actress good looking woman. I wanted to punch the screen when that happened.
Anyone else watch this or got any opinions on it? Anyone who lives near southern america who watches this who can tell me if this is how southern americans really do talk all the time? Are they as focused on God as the people in this show seem to be so far? I don't know if it's just a personal thing the people who made the show wove into the plot line.

Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.
Impersonation is treason.
