Oldies Music 50s-70s

RE: Oldies Music 50s-70s
Third generation.  The only Italian I can speak is what I have picked up from the opera.

My grandmother was Neapolitan.  Grandfather was Roman but he was in the army and was stationed all over.  Probably why my grandmother was such a great cook.  Fusion with a lot of different regions.

Another classic, old instrumental, this one from 1960.

I actually like the original as well as any version of this, especially the parts where there is less orchestra.  But it is fun to hear it picked out on guitar too.  Who knew Mexican wrestlers could play so well?

Oh hell, I never knew Los Straightjackets also covered "Sleep Walk".  Musically it isn't remarkable but they perform it here live with a stripper who has just a great ass.  Highly recommended.  One old member, way up.

There are songs that act like a time machine for me. Like this one. Penny Lane instantly throws me back into the 60ies, when I didn't understand a single word of english. But it always is about the melody and the feelings and memories it evokes.
