When someone responds in bad faith to a good faith statement, it's hard to respond in good faith.

What, now you feel entitled to good faith statements from people who have no use for you.  Get bent.  And I mean that in the best way possible, and preferably somewhere else.  Your opportunity to make a good impression has expired.  Go away.

As others have said, if you are genuine in intent and particularly in motive, we would all - well, mostly - welcome a fresh start. Hang up the superiority and triumphalism, stow the condescension, and be a part of the community as opposed to apart from it.

As others have also pointed out, however, your posting history doesn't exactly inspire trust in the sincerity of this apparent volte-face. Particularly when the way you're going about it is stained with the same abusive smugness that you are apparently pledging to give up.

There is an old saying, "actions speak louder than words". I prefer this sentiment myself:

Delicate, you lack the courage to truly defend your faith. You're so put off at the idea of being ridiculed and stumped, that you won't acknowledge that you're a Roman Catholic, or even present what you consider to be evidence of the God you worship and love.

If your God is real, there's no way He's pleased with you.

A lot of atheists are mad at me. Perhaps for good reason- I've been a bit of a meanie-poo.

But a part of me also feels justified in acting all rambunctious and feisty because that's how I was treated early on without justification.

But I'm willing to set all that aside and start afresh. Clean slate and all.

Is this something we're all amenable to?

You haven't been me to me, I haven't been mean to you.  I was just waiting for you to tell me what problems you have the with definition of atheism and what you think it should be changed to.

Yes, when it entails dealing with reports about it and delivering the appropriate sanctions. Yes, when it takes up the time I would otherwise like to spend being part of the community. If you consider that my moaning, let me remind you that you accepted the decision and the sanction, and agreed they should stand.
