Of course people doubted. Months and hundreds of posts of being a twat and suddenly we're supposed to believe the new leaf is the truth?!? Sorry, I'm not that naive.

I don't see anything good coming from false promises. While it would be nice to see some genuine sincerity from the OP, first impressions are everything. Those were already formed the second delicate chose to act like an ass. I for one have seen this time and time again with forum trolls. They fuck up, get hated by many, make apologies and a day or two later they are back with the same tactics that started the fuckery in the first place. Always the same. Leopards don't change their spots.

But a part of me also feels justified in acting all rambunctious and feisty because that's how I was treated early on without justification.

But I'm willing to set all that aside and start afresh. Clean slate and all.

Is this something we're all amenable to?

I'm amenable to you fucking off.

If you want to change how people view you then a grandstanding, simpering, half-apologetic thread isn't the way to go. Stop acting like a withering cunt and you'll see a big change in how people react to you.

If you're looking for a role-model CL might be the way to go.

When my children were young and offered their "olive branches" after periods of bad behavior, I didn't believe they were doing anything other than trying to get out of the negative consequences their behavior incurred. I don't see any difference here, except that Delicate isn't six. I expect this "new leaf" being turned won't last more than 72 hours. Whether it does or not is of no concern to me. Delicate claims to be a Christian. If this is how he/she wishes to represent Christ, so be it. That tells me much more about the 'fruit of the Holy Spirit' in Delicate's life than any number of bullshit pseudo-philosophical positions cribbed from Plantinga ever could.

Well done, Delicate. You're a hell of a witness for your faith.

IMO, Delicate is now in contention with Drich for best living spokesman for atheism, at least on this forum - but that's for another thread.

It might be time for me to reintroduce my pet project: a radio show featuring our "brightest" theists. Originally, it was meant to be hosted by Drich, GC, and Professor. However, Professor wasn't really a douche; he was just a nut. And now he's not around. So perhaps we could get Delicate to take the third chair.

I honestly believe that such a show, if it had enough markets in which it aired, would be one of the most effective atheist tools we could come up with.

Delicate, please start a thread which is just between you and the penguin.

We could all do with a bit of a chuckle.
Both will insist that they are correct and it'll end up being a :

"Prove to the poster above why you're smarter than they are" thread.

Go on, don't be shy.

Best idea I've heard all week.
