I don't think anyone knows what Hitler really believed. He was a manipulative psychopath:

Who knows what Hitler actually believed. In public he believed what was expedient. He took advantage of antisemitism in the Catholic and Lutheran churches. He took advantage of the Vatican's fear. The churches should have protected the Jews but did not. They weren't the only ones. What I find scary is that there have been other wholesale ethnic killings since and I'm afraid will be more. I don't like Muslims generally, but I don't want to see Muslim holocaust or even something approaching one. I don't want to see another holocaust of any kind.
If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god. If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.
There are some good indicators of what he believed. His private dinner conversations at his headquarters have been transcribed by a certain Harry Picker. Hitler repeatedly said that he wanted to get rid of the established churches, but not during the war. He also admired the catholic church, not for their belief system but for their manipulative faculties.
Going by that evidence and by other quotes, it's safe to say, he wasn't christian. Only on paper. But he wasn't an atheist either. No, while politicians do pander to the religious, he believed as most politicians do. Even the liberals who are not monsters pander and believe. Hitler was his own brand of Deist/Catholic/Occult, but he did believe in a divine higher power.
