But then again, that's one reason I'm no longer religious. To be honest, I do not want to see no fat man naked even though he is a man and I am gay. Therefore, it is not about any kind of insult so much as it about what I prefer to view.

But if someone tried to shove something down my throat all of the time, like I must imagine Kitan feels like as a non-straight male in today's world, and if I didn't like it one bit, I would feel as much of a need to point it out as he does. I'll give you some examples where I can sympathize. Everyone is going on and on about Star Wars. Well guess what, I think they're shit, and I'll say as much. Everyone goes on and on about Beccs' pics. Same thing. If you don't want to be criticised for your tastes or your characteristics, you shouldn't make them known or public. Kind of reminds me of growing up and having such strong food preferences that I wouldn't ever try anything new. Now that just seems silly. I mean, I don't like mayo out of a jar or oysters but I'm not repulsed by anything. They don't make me gag. When I was in high school (60's) I remember thinking how odd it was that everyone felt okay about dissing a whole class of people, homosexuals. But I also recognized that the thought of homosexuality was yucky to me so I wondered where that came from. I challenged myself in fantasy to get over it, and I did. I like the world better this way. I can assure you I was not trying to do anything to "justify my actions/beliefs", neither do I think my beliefs regarding naked pictures need to be justified. MK was feeling tempted and needed some help, so I made one comment to try to put things in perspective for him. That was all it was. No more, no less.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

So, have I won all the awards yet or what?
