At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

I don’t see this option as negating the rules.
If a person is continually disruptive, what do you do, make up a new rule for them? That would make the rulebook as thick as the unabridged Oxford Family dictionary, Thesaurus and Encyclopedia. That would make things more, not less, confusing.
As for the ignore function, it leaves a notation in the thread every time someone you’ve blocked leaves a post. This also is disruptive when a person leaves posts just to hi jack a thread.
So I approve of the power the staff has to protect our users from people who come here just to disrupt.
The god who allows children to be raped out of respect for the free will choice of the rapist, but punishes gay men for engaging in mutually consensual sex couldn't possibly be responsible for an intelligently designed universe.
I may defend your right to free speech, but i won't help you pass out flyers.
Those who can make you believe absurdities, can make you commit atrocities.

If your intention is to disrupt that is trolling and against the rules. Right?

Wow. The rules have grown considerably since I lasted looked at them. They might benefit from a hotlinked table of contents. The 30/30 rule has been pushed so far down that a new user may never see it. Just a suggestion, but putting the 30/30 rule at the top with some note like "New user rule" instead of 30/30 might end up having it more likely to be read and heeded by noobs.

Some people are disruptive and have managed to get around, and remain members, by skirting the rules: just touching on the fringe of violating the current rules without actually stepping over the line.
