Though to be fair this wasn't really a cover up but more willfull neglect by authorities.  RE: vote Donald trump!?

Margaret Thatcher knew about Jimmy Saville, she was even warned about associating with him, yet she chose to allow him to continue. And then there's Cyril Smith, the MP who the authorities helped cover his crimes.
Cyril Smith was definitely allowed to operate due to nefarious intent.
