The whole reason that the USA is a complete fucking joke is that their far-right have had the better part of two centuries to work out that their policies don't work the way they would like, and regardless they still base their policies on ideology rather than reason and empirical evidence.

My theory is that the political system stopping fascism from taking hold in the US because there are too many checks and balances means that the movement never dies away either. People in Germany for example know exactly what fascism is and how to spot it when it rears its head. Add to this a poor education and America being so large that it provides everything that an American could want, this can lead to an insular mentality that means that they are less likely to learn about the historical mistakes made by other countries which seem really far away.

People need to wake up. We are in a lot of trouble. It's time to stop sleeping. It's way worse than Trump will talk about. The people are slowly waking up to the control over our lives. Only when that happens can the general people of the world challenge the small minority who control us.

... and in the meantime let's vote Drumpf who will make the situation much worse.

 If immigrants didn't take handouts from the government and they just had jobs and could speak English and they're not committing crimes then there is no issue.  Just in my area there's new immigrants from Romania who will just beg on the street like I've never seen before, literally while I've been stood in my garden about to leave the house a man has come to me asking me for food, I did give him some food the first time but then quickly realized it was't just a one off event, this guy's strategy for living here was going to be walking over to people and ask them for free stuff in broken English.

Romanians can receive benefits, I don't know if this specific family were or not. I don't even know much about Romanians or Eastern Europeans so I don't want to single them out, but I was asked for how immigration has personally influenced me and I'm just saying I've never seen people begging up and down my road before in my life until these specific families came into town. I've been waved down in my car and when I stopped because I thought it was an emergency it was a Romanian woman just asking for money, and the other man I mentioned who would just approach and ask for food, plus another man who at first would do gardening work for people but who also ask for free money if no work was going.

Romanians do have a bad reputation for crime, especially in central London, pickpockets and things like that. Their arrest rates are high but they could just be the same people repeat offending, I don't know.

It's ironic that someone who's place of birth has been on the receiving end of generalising prejudices just a few years ago, goes all out superior on other ethnicities. Lesson not learned is the most obvious conclusion.

I don't think there has been a worse candidate for President. The man is a joke. The fact that he is the front runner for the Republican nomination is terrifying.
