RealClearPolitics.com has Hilary up by one point after averaging several polls. The Dems are making a poor choice anointing her. No doubt she'll get a convention bounce, and will probably get debate bounces along the way too. The fact that the Republican hierarchy hates Trump could tell, and the other question is the polling database. If they're calling landline-only, that will skew the age demographic and present Trump with bigger numbers.

So, does Trump actually stand any chance of winning? Haven't seen any polls.

A Pew Research Poll showed that among American Christians nearly half, 47%, believe that Jesus will at least probably return to earth within the next 40 years, with the majority of that group (27%) believing that Jesus definitely will return in the near future. Only 10% of American Christians believe that Jesus will definitely not return within their lifetimes.

With shitheads like that around, of course he has a chance.  Never, ever, forget the words of H. L. Mencken:

Yeah, people can be really, fucking stupid. I just don't see it though. Trump has way too much baggage to win in the general. The Clinton political machine will destroy him. He's what the military calls, a "target rich" environment. There's so many things to attack him on, one almost doesn't know where to start. I don't see how he can survive the attacks against him which are coming. The general electorate isn't like the primary. The average voter may not be a rocket scientist but they aren't the ignorant rednecks which largely make up the Republican base either.

Currently the only people that matter in Presidential election polls are Dems in the Blue States.  If Hillary is weak with them she will lose the election.  It doesn't matter what voters in Red States say since the Repubs will outvote the Dems in those States.  Therefore Hillary should be concerned about her standing with the Dem voters in the New England and Great Lakes States.

Remember, Trump won 31 States.  Under the worse of circumstances he will win as many as Romney did.  Trump could get 356 votes, which will be a landslide.

I don't think she needs to worry about them too much. With Trump as the opponent, they will turn out not for/ her, but against him. She should certainly put New York high on her list of priorities, and Florida as well.
