RE: 2-big bang theory in the Quran
Quote:So someone not capable of one errorless sentence in english, such as yourself, makes a big argument based on a lacking "s"? In the sentence “He raised his eyes to heaven / the heavens.” both spellings mean the sky.
according to the Quran there is not only one heaven(sky) there is 7 heavens(skies) thats why i clarified this.

Let's further elaborate on this very scientific quran statement about there being 7 skies.

In my backyard I count just one sky. What am I missing here?

Well there's the atmosphere which is a sky and space which isn't a sky

Let's see. The 'sky' consists of...

1- The Troposphere.
2- The Stratosphere.
3- The Mesosphere.
4- The Thermosphere.
5- The Exosphere.
6- The Vacuum of Space.
7. This must be that 'Heaven' place we hear so much about.

Hey, look! I can play mo3's game, too.

Add the magnetosphere and it still somehow adds up to only one sky in my backyard, maybe that's a local anomaly.

this is what 7 heavens mean in the Quran

"He Who created the seven heavens one above another: No want of proportion wilt thou see in the Creation of ((Allah)) Most Gracious."(Quran 67:3)

No it doesn't. This is just your feeble attempt to make some obscure verse or two from your very strange book fit into string and M theory which, is so over your head and that of your daft book that I think it has to be the singular most ridiculous claim that any theist has ever come up with on this forum. And that's saying something believe me as we've had our fair share of fruitcakes!!

And don't you dare use one of my hero's to support your insane and rabbid claims that somehow your book is full of scientific knowledge. And anyway, string and M theory are still just that and are not scientific fact so how do you square that??

It's quite clear that you have absolutely no idea what he is talking about. You're just plucking odd little phrases and analogies and mutating them to your own ends.

God's Word or not? Make up your mind.

In any event, separating waters from heaven and earth likely inspired the Muslim authors of the Koran.

Quote:plz tell me what translation you are using

Every Bible translation I've seen speaks of birds created out of the waters. KJV and NRSV 3rd Ed are my favorite versions.

Quote:.according to the Quran there is nothing that says that they were made in the same time all we know is that they was created in six long periods and that the creation of the earth is 1\3 the time of the creation of heavens and the earth

If the earth and heavens were cleaved apart, that means they were created as separate entities at the same time.

Mo3's encounters with fact result in what can most adequately be described as resembling a cheap whore lying in a ditch mutilated by tractor-tread.

Not a pretty picture.
