And I say you don't need guns, specifically, to handle the vast majority of the situations. Arming teachers with guns is simply stupid with non-lethal methods are available.

And let me repeat this, for as long as there is crime, we will need guns. No non-lethal methods are as good as guns when it comes to protecting yourself. They might not be preferable because they're lethal, but they are the most efficient. That's why people need to be properly trained how and when to use them. If you're trained, I don't see what your problem is, exactly. Are guns wrong in and of themselves? No, they are not. They can be put to good use and to bad use, just like anything else. If you're taught how to put them to good use, that's all there is to it.
