Heh, heh,
you're all still thinking conventionally. The game has changed; maybe Trump put Romney up to it ? All part of the plan, man, all part of the plan . . . The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
I've glimpsed the political comedians' Promised Land: the Trump/Christie ticket (the bombast, the megalomania, the bullshit!). George W. Bush/Dick Cheney, Sarah Palin, and Mitt Romney were just the appetizer courses. Bad as they were, as endlessly stupid and venal as they could be, they didn't have the heft to sink the GOP once and for all.
Trump/Christie just might be able to pull that off. Now, I've long predicted that the Establishment GOP will find some way to fuck Trump, even if they have to resort to a brokered convention. I stand by that prediction. But -- damn! -- I'll be disappointed if it turns out I'm right. I'm ready to see grown men weep on Fox News. I'm ready for the public mass nervous breakdown on the Right that would ensue if Trump got the nomination. I'm ready for the torches and pitchforks. I've glimpsed the promised land, and I want to see the milk, honey, and blood flow! 
In less time than it takes to fart they've already dug up Romney's gushing acceptance of Trump's endorsement in 2012.

Really, Trump just said that.
Y'know, the military is already on record they don't have to follow unlawful orders (and were looking at Trump when uttered) so, just for the humor value alone, I'm leaning towards Trump now. And yes, I'd take a hummer from Mitt too.
